In compliance with the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and in connection with your transaction, McClary Ford Inc may obtain information about you as described in this notice, which we may handle as stated in this notice. This notice also describes how we collect and use information if you choose to receive text messages from us.

Information we collect

We collect non-public information about you from the following sources:

  • Information we receive from you on applications for financing or other forms, and information you give us in person, by phone, by email, on our website, or by text message.
  • Information about your transaction with us, our affiliates, or others.
  • Information we receive from a consumer reporting agency, bank, credit union, or other source.
  • If you opt in to text messages, your mobile telephone number, your consent to receive messages, the date and method of that consent, and message history related to that program.

How we may share information

We may disclose any of the information we collect, as described above, to companies that perform services on our behalf or to other financial institutions with which we have joint marketing agreements. We may make disclosures about you as a consumer, customer, or former customer.

We may also disclose non-public personal information about you as a consumer, customer, or former customer to non-affiliated third parties as permitted by law.

Those disclosures may include sharing with service providers who help us complete a sale, arrange financing or insurance, service a vehicle, process a payment, or operate our business. We do not sell customer lists.

Text messages and SMS opt-in information

McClary Ford Inc may offer text-message programs for appointment reminders, service updates, sales follow-up, and promotional offers. Text messages are optional. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing a vehicle, obtaining service, or receiving financing.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. For help, reply HELP or contact the dealership. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

SMS opt-in information, including your mobile telephone number and your consent to receive text messages, will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

All the categories of sharing described in this notice exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent. This information will not be shared with any third parties for their own marketing purposes. We will not sell, rent, or trade your SMS opt-in or consent.

We may share SMS opt-in data only with vendors that help us deliver the text-message service you requested, such as our messaging platform, phone carriers, and aggregators. Those vendors may use the information only to provide that service and may not use it for their own marketing.

How we protect information

We restrict access to non-public information about you to those employees who need to know that information in order to provide products or services to you. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to guard your non-public personal information.

Your choices

  • You may decline text messages. Checking a text-message box is never required to complete a form, and the box will not be pre-checked.
  • Reply STOP to end text messages. Reply HELP for help. You may also ask the dealership to remove your number from the text program.
  • Opting out of text messages does not cancel email, phone, or mail contact unless you ask us to stop those as well.
